PFA Committee and Members
As well as the three committee members noted on the right there are a group of volunteers who are invaluable to the working of the PFA. Mrs Nicola Sims is responsible for all uniform orders and enquiries. Mrs Sarah Morgans with Victoria Turner arrange the school discos and Alison Howell and Cath Turner arrange the school shops. Note that orders for fleeces, ties, bags etc. can be placed throughout the school year. Order forms can be found just outside the school office or here on the website.
The PFA has the full support of the Head Teacher Mrs Goss and the previous chairs of the PFA Mrs Helen Warner and Mrs Karen Woods.
In addition the many parents who volunteer their time to support the various fund raising activities are vital to the continued success of the PFA.
PFA Role
The Marshfield Parents and Friends Association helps raise large sums of money each year for the school. This enables the school to purchase items that the normal budget would not allow.
The PFA always needs more people to donate their time as it does not have enough volunteers for many of the events it organises, including many of the ones the children particularly enjoy such as the Discos and Fayres. In addition the PFA is always keen to hear new ideas and suggestions for future events.
As well as supporting the school, involvement with the PFA helps you to meet other parents and build friendships within the community.
Without volunteers the PFA's fundraising would not succeed, please come along to one of our meetings, advertised in the diary of events or in the school newsletter, and help continue the PFA's history of succesfull fundraising for the school and all of our children.
Past Projects funded by the PFA
In the past few years the money raised by the PFA has been used for many projects within the school, including:- Character Bins.
- Contribution towards Year 6 Leaver trip.
- £4000 on books.
- Flag Pole.
- Kiln.
- Picnic benches and outdoor equipment.
